Instructors in the First-Year Writing Program at UTPA are organizing a three-part
conference for all interested English 1302 students and instructors this Spring. Our
goal: to bring the university community together so that students, at pivotal points in
1302, can bounce their research questions and ideas off of a diverse group of experts.
Part 1 :: FEB 18 & 19 during 1302 class time :: Space(s) TBA
The Q :: Designing, pursuing, and revising research questions and projects
Part 2 :: MAR 18 & 19 during your 1302 class time :: Space(s) TBA
Form/Audience :: Adapting researched arguments to public documents for a variety of
stakeholders
Part 3 :: APR 29 & 30 :: Space TBA
The Take-Away :: Celebrating representative 1302 projects and the individuals and
groups that supported students throughout the semester
